Destination NSW welcomes record tourism for regional NSW in year to Mar-2019

Destination NSW reported (17-Jul-2019) record visitor spend for domestic visitors in New South Wales for the year ended Mar-2019. According to National Visitor Survey (NVS) results, NSW leads Australia in domestic visitation, with total visitor arrivals increasing 7.9% year-on-year to 35.6 million and spending increasing 11.4% to AUD21.7 billion (USD15.21 billion). 9.6 million visitors to regional NSW were from Sydney, with the number of visitor nights spent in regional locations increasing 16%.
