European capacity recovery slowly improving

CAPA - Centre for Aviation, in a report entitled: 'European aviation: recovery yet to embrace N. America, AsiaPac', stated (21-Jul-2021) aviation capacity recovery is continuing in Europe, led by international markets. In Jun-2021, Europe was the worst performing region by capacity compared to 2019, but has improved to fourth out of six regions as of Jul-2021. Europe's recovery to reach 63% of 2019 seat numbers has so far been led by short and medium haul operations. European domestic markets are at 93% of 2019 capacity levels, while international capacity within the continent is at 61%. Capacity in the main long haul markets is at 34% for North America and 26% for Asia Pacific. [more - CAPA Analysis]
