Expedia: Search trends indicate traveller confidence is rising

    Expedia Group Media Solutions reported (10-Aug-2021) half of global travel searches in 2Q2021 were within zero and 21 days of travel.     • Domestic travel: 55% of global domestic travel searches fell within the zero to 21 days search window, while searches 22 to 90 days out increased by nearly 20% quarter-over-quarter;
    • International travel. Travel within the 31 to 90 days out search window increased 30% from 1Q2021. In Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), searches 22 to 90 days out represented more than 40% of international searches in Q2, up from 15% in 1Q2021.
