Fitch: US airports recovered to 70% of 2Q2019 traffic levels through Jun-2021

Fitch Ratings reported (11-Oct-2021) US airports recovered to 70% of 2Q2019 traffic levels through the end of Jun-2021, with a few airports exceeding pre-pandemic levels in certain leisure focused O&D markets. Overall, domestic leisure traffic is strengthening, whilst international traffic and business travel are expected to recover more slowly. Fitch director Henry Flynn stated: "Airport traffic continues to improve across the US, though the recent surge of delta variant infections is an area to watch to see if it pares back recent passenger growth".
