Fleet modernisation the 'main lever' for reducing environmental footprint: Air France

Air France stated (27-Sep-2019) the "main lever" for reducing its environmental footprint will stem from fleet modernisation. It explained its new A350-900 consumes 2.5L of fuel per passenger per 100km, 25% less than comparable aircraft, through the incorporation of materials up to 67% lighter including 53% composites and 14% titanium.
