GE Aviation and Qantas rolling out FlightPulse application across Qantas Group flying businesses

GE Aviation and Qantas reported (29-Oct-2017) their 'FlightPulse' application is now available to more than 1500 Qantas airline and freighter pilots, with the other Qantas Group flying businesses to come online in the coming months. The application is available via their tablet based electronic flight bag, allowing them to access detailed data from their own flights. Using FlightPulse, on an A380 aircraft, pilots using reduced flap landing to save an average of 142kg of fuel, save 45kg of fuel through idle reverse and 10kg per minute through using an 'engine out, taxi in' procedure.
