Germania to consolidate position at Bremen Airport, grow based aircraft to four by summer 2019

Germania announced (19-Jan-2018) plans to base a third A320 at Bremen Airport from winter 2018/19 and a fourth in summer 2019. The carrier will also expand its technical division at the airport. Upcoming route development from Bremen includes:

  • Antalya: Increase capacity from summer 2018;
  • Athens: Operate year round;
  • Palma de Mallorca: Launch weekly year round service from winter 2018/19. With the new destination, Germania will be operating all "larger" Canary Island destinations from Bremen.

Germania also stated it is "looking closely at various city destinations, among them a nonstop service to Madrid in conjunction with its partner Air Europa".
