Germania announced (19-Jan-2018) plans to base a third A320 at Bremen Airport from winter 2018/19 and a fourth in summer 2019. The carrier will also expand its technical division at the airport. Upcoming route development from Bremen includes:
- Antalya: Increase capacity from summer 2018;
- Athens: Operate year round;
- Palma de Mallorca: Launch weekly year round service from winter 2018/19. With the new destination, Germania will be operating all "larger" Canary Island destinations from Bremen.

Germania director sales Claus Altenburg added: "Given the changes affecting the constellation of German airlines, we decided to expand and further develop relations with our bases in regional conurbations".
