Gol extends facial recognition technology to boarding check, eliminating need for boarding passes

Gol Linhas Aéreas CIO and GolLabs director Paulo Sica, via his personal LinkedIn account, announced (29-May-2019) Gol's launch of facial recognition boarding "was a success". The technology was developed by GolLabs in partnership with FULLFACE. Passengers boarding at Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport's Gate B33 will not require boarding pass. As previously reported by CAPA, in Jun-2017 the carrier launched facial recognition check in via the carrier's mobile phone app.
