Gold Coast Airport pax fall 96% year-on-year in Sep-2020

Gold Coast Airport handled (20-Oct-2020) 526,599 fewer passengers in Sep-2020, down 96% year-on-year. Queensland Airports Limited CEO Chris Mills said Gold Coast Airport had been hard hit by travel restrictions, given the reliance on the leisure market and importance of connections to Sydney and Melbourne. Prior to the pandemic, Sydney-Gold Coast was the fourth busiest route in Australia. In Sep-2020 the airport handled an average of 750 daily passengers across three to four services.
