IATA DG issues concern with quarantine and PCR tests for UK inbound travellers

    IATA DG Willie Walsh reported (13-Oct-2021) “Unfortunately” the UK has “not found an alternative to multiple, expensive PCR tests and a 10 day quarantine for unvaccinated travellers”. Mr Walsh said between Feb-2021 and Aug-2021, the PCR testing rate of UK inbound travellers was 1%, with the positivity rate from testing the general population being 7%. Mr Walsh stated: “In GermanyIreland and the Netherlands you can buy an antigen kit from the supermarket for less than EUR5.
