IATA: Modified passenger aircraft providing 13%-14% of cargo capacity in major markets

    IATA reported (01-Apr-2021) cargo capacity (scheduled CTKs) by type of aircraft operation for the following markets:

    • North Pacific:
      • Apr-2019 to Dec-2019: 75% freighter and 25% passenger aircraft. Total capacity between 35 billion and 40 billion CTKs;
      • Apr-2020 to Dec-2020: 81% freighter, 13% cargo-only passenger aircraft and 6% passenger aircraft. Total capacity more than 40 billion CTKs;
    • Europe-Asia:
      • Apr-2019 to Dec-2019: 55% freighter and 45% passenger aircraft. Total capacity approximately 35 billion CTKs;
      • Apr-2020 to Dec-2020: 74% freighter, 14% cargo-only passenger aircraft and 12% passenger aircraft. Total capacity more than 30 billion CTKs;
    • North Atlantic:
      • Apr-2019 to Dec-2019: 43% freighter and 57% passenger aircraft. Total capacity more than 25 billion CTKs;
