Iberia: IATA NDC enables IAG to embrace digital retailing practices that enhance customer experience

    Iberia head of distribution Cliff Trotta, via the Amadeus blog, said (27-May-2021) IATA‘s New Distribution Capability (NDC) “enables something that is core to IAG and Iberia‘s business strategy: to embrace digital retailing practices that provide a better customer experience”. Mr Trotta stated that despite the strain posed by COVID-19, “we kept up the momentum” on NDC with and reached a “landmark” deal with Amadeus earlier in 2021 to support implementation of NDC at a global scale. The strengthened partnership will mean Iberia‘s bookings made via NDC can be processed and serviced efficiently within an agent’s usual working environment.
