ICAO Council president Salvatore Sciacchitano advised (19-Apr-2021) Latin American civil aviation leaders the ICAO Council's Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART) identified the following priorities to promote more public-private cooperation:
- Creation of public health travel corridors;
- Promotion of safe and efficient global vaccine distribution and multilateral all cargo air services;
- Standardisation of COVID-19 testing certificates;
- Updated air crew vaccination considerations.
Mr Sciacchitano said the success of these objectives depends on the establishment of national and regional risk management strategies to gradually open air routes. [more - original PR]
