Icelandair 'optimistic' for start to ramp-up capacity from 2Q2021

Icelandair CEO Bogi Nils Bogason said (08-Feb-2021) the carrier still faces "considerable uncertainty" over the resumption of air travel due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, vaccine distribution and border closures, but remains "optimistic" that a "modest ramp-up" can start in 2Q2021. The company stated that its route network has been "simplified" to strengthen flexibility to respond to fast-changing market conditions and align capacity to demand at any given time.
