IndiGo to suspend compulsory leave without pay from Jan-2021

3 December, 2020

IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta reported "in anticipation of the improved revenue that I know we can deliver", the LCC plans to suspend compulsory leave without pay (LWP) "across all departments" from 01-Jan-2021 (Economic Times/Business Standard/The Hindu BusinessLine, 03-Dec-2020). As previously reported by CAPA, IndiGo introduced compulsory LWP for select personnel in May-2020 in response to the impact of coronavirus on its revenue and operations. Mr Dutta noted: "At this point of time, it looks like we are on a path to a graduated and measured recovery", adding: "while we are not yet out of the woods, we are certainly moving in the right direction".
