Indonesian Government preparing to reopen Bali to international tourism by Jul-2021

Indonesia's Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno reported the government continues to make preparations for a potential Bali reopening by Jul-2021 (TTR Weekly, 15-Jun-2021). He stated: "Of course, in response to the COVID-19 case spike in several areas, we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Bali that is currently under control". Mr Uno and Bali's Governor Wayan Koster held a meeting to discuss the situation in the region and to commence preparations to reopen Bali's tourism sector with strict health measures to be adopted.
