JetSMART CEO Estuardo Ortiz confirmed the LCC applied to Peru's Government for an air operator's certificate (AOC) to establish its new subsidiary JetSMART Peru (Aviacion Online/Contato Radar/NewsWep, 26-Apr-2021). Mr Ortiz stated "during the pandemic we have continued to search for opportunities for our growth and we believe that the domestic market in Peru is one of them".
