Jetstar Airways to launch Sydney-Hervey Bay service

Jetstar Airways, via its official LinkedIn account, announced (23-Feb-2021) in conjunction with Queensland's Government and Fraser Coast Regional Council, the carrier plans to launch three times weekly Sydney-Hervey Bay service with A320 equipment, effective 26-May-2021. The service is expected to handle nearly 50,000 visitors p/a and deliver AUD8 million (USD6.3 million) to Queensland's economy. The new service is the carrier's 20th domestic destination as the airline seeks to expand its domestic network while international travel restrictions remain in place.
