KLM to suspend long haul activities as tighter Dutch travel restrictions are imposed

20 January, 2021

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines plans to suspend all long haul activities from 22-Jan-2021 due to tighter Dutch travel restrictions (Reuters/luchtvaartnieuws.nl, 20-Jan-2021). KLM stated that imposing COVID-19 antigen testing conditions on crews as well as passengers returning from abroad may force KLM to leave crew stranded overseas. As previously reported by CAPA, all travellers planning to enter the Netherlands from high risk areas must also be able to show both a negative rapid antigen test and negative PCR before departure.
