Laos' Department of Communicable Diseases Control deputy director general Sisavath Soutthaniraxay reported the quarantine period for returning travellers has been increased from 14 to 28 days (New Straits Times, 09-Aug-2021). Mr Soutthaniraxay added quarantine centres in some provinces will also be expanded.
