Latin American regional markets beginning to report regular falls in capacity

    OAG reported (15-Feb-2021) regional markets in Latin America are beginning to report regular declines in scheduled capacity. Seats in the Lower South America region fell 9% week to week, while capacity in the Upper South America region has fallen 13% over the last two weeks. OAG noted that during the first round of COVID-19 capacity adjustments in 2020, South America lagged Asia and Western Europe by around six weeks, indicating more capacity cuts for 2021 may be coming.
