Madang Airport to create dedicated selling spaces for street vendors to improve perimeter safety

Papua New Guinea's Minister for Civil Aviation Alfred Manase said Madang Airport's upgraded facilities will include a market place for local mothers to sell handicrafts and fresh produce, as part of a plan to improve the airport's perimeter (Post Courier, 14-Feb-2019). Mr Manase added: "Inside the term of contract we will fix all surrounding around the perimeter of the airport, we will put new water system; construct new fire station house and market place for mothers close at the airport... The mothers can sell their artifacts and vegetables for travelling passengers".
