MAG CEO: UK Government's lack of transparency surrounding traffic light system 'unacceptable'

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) CEO Charlie Cornish said (03-Jun-2021) the UK Government's lack of transparency surrounding the data used to make its 'traffic light system' decisions is "shocking and totally unacceptable". Mr Cornish claimed "tens of thousands of jobs" are at risk due to the UK Government's reluctance to place "low risk destinations" with lower case rates than the UK, along with countries like the US, Germany and Italy, on the green list. The UK Government reclassified Portugal as an 'amber' country and added Afghanistan, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and Trinidad and Tobago to the red list on 03-Jun-2021.
