New Air Vanuatu growth plan could access Australian govt Pacific development fund

Australia's Assistant Minister for International Development and the Pacific Anne Ruston said Air Vanuatu's new growth plan could fit within the framework of the government's USD1.5 billion development fund, created to assist new economic initiatives in the region (Radio NZ, 05-Feb-2019). As previously reported by CAPA, Air Vanuatu CEO Derek Nice reported the carrier plans to acquire eight aircraft for international services and five Cessna Caravans for its domestic segment by 2030.
