Philippines' Department of Public Works and Highways commenced construction of the PHP15 billion (USD311.8 million) New Zamboanga International Airport project (Manila Times, 05-Feb-2021). As previously reported by CAPA, the airport will feature a new terminal, six aerobridges, a control tower and a 3440m runway to accommodate heavier aircraft.
