New Zealand Govt extends aviation support, launches ‘Maintaining International Air Connectivity’

New Zealand‘s Government extended (22-Mar-2021) support to the aviation sector through to the end of Oct-2021 to help keep New Zealand connected with trade partners and maintain international passenger services. New Zealand’s Transport Minister Michael Wood stated: “Going forward, the support programme will be called the ‘Maintaining International Air Connectivity’ scheme and it allows for support levels to reduce as passenger numbers rise, giving good value for money”. New Zealand’s Government will extend the scheme until Mar-2022 if necessary.
