Avianca Hernan Rincon reportedly stated the carrier is looking to expand its relationship with Aeromar in an attempt to gain "precious" slots at Mexico City Juarez International Airport, suggesting Aeromar may change its name to Avianca Mexico (Airgways/REPORTUR.mx, 03-Mar-2018). Aeromar director Andrés Fabre stressed the carrier will not change its model to become a ULCC or LCC, should the deal go ahead.
