Air China says adjusted US ops is to 'maintain critical and essential air connectivity'

Air China reported its recent application to the US Department of Transportation to adjust US services is "to maintain critical and essential air connectivity between China and the US during this difficult time in the most economical way" (Reuters, 04-Feb-2020). Air China plans to commence four times weekly Beijing-Los Angeles-San Francisco service from 11-Feb-2020 and three times weekly Beijing-New York JFK-Washington service from 12-Feb-2020, operating the services for at least 180 days.
