Argentina aviation reactivation hampered by regional governors fearing COVID-19 spread

17 August, 2020

Argentina's Government is reportedly facing resistance by governors against reactivating the domestic aviation industry due to fear of increased COVID-19 spread (Clarin, 10-Aug-2020). Argentina's Minister of Transport Mario Meoni stated: "We expect a resumption of transport over the next 60 days, for that it's fundamental to have the opinion of each governor's health advisors, in order to allow… a standardised care for passengers". Mr Meoni mentioned that passengers will be required to use a mobile tracking app.
