Aruba Airport Authority announced (27-Jun-2018) plans to increase passenger related airport charges at Aruba Queen Beatrix International Airport to USD13 for non US bound services and USD15 for US bound services, effective 01-Jul-2018. The authority is working on a due-diligence process to modernise and expand the airport and believes the increased fees will help support the project's financing. This marks the first increase in airport charges since 2003. Charges for services to Curacao and Bonaire remain unchanged. The authority further agreed in a MoU with its airlines to re-evaluate and lower the charges if the project costs less than the forecasted budget. [more - original PR - English/Spanish]
