Cook Islands Tourism Corporation stated (14-Jan-2022) two way quarantine free travel between New Zealand and the Cook Islands resumed on 14-Jan-2022, ending a five month border closure for the Cook Islands due to coronavirus. Tourism is the mainstay of the Cook Islands' economy, comprising 70% of GDP.
