7 July, 2022

Flybe CEO Dave Pflieger announced (06-Jul-2022) the LCC plans to reduce its schedule between 28-Jul-2022 and 29-Oct-2022, citing supply issues from "the two aircraft leasing companies who were contracted" to provide additional aircraft to the carrier. Flybe's website confirmed it will cancel Belfast City services to Aberdeen, Inverness and Newcastle and Birmingham-Aberdeen service, as well as operate a reduced schedule on the following routes during summer 2022:

  • Belfast City:
    • Birmingham;
    • Edinburgh;
    • Glasgow;
    • Manchester;
    • Southampton;
  • Birmingham:
    • Edinburgh;
    • Glasgow.

Mr Pflieger stated: "This new schedule will be fully supported by the aircraft we do have available, and we will still introduce more flights later this year - after we receive our delayed aircraft". [more - original PR]
