easyJet estimated the recent disruptions at London Gatwick Airport due to suspected drone incursions cost the airline GBP15 million in lost revenue and additional costs (Reuters/Sky/BBC, 22-Jan-2019). easyJet CEO Johan Lundgren said the airline "did everything we could to help our customers affected by the incident", adding: "We were disappointed that it took a long time to resolve.... You can't always protect yourself from that, but it's a wake up call and airports will be better prepared going forward".
