Hawaii's airports now implementing thermal temperature screening

Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDoT) announced (05-Aug-2020) thermal temperature screening is now in use at Honolulu Daniel K Inouye International Airport, Kahului Airport, Lihue Airport, Kona International Airport and Hilo International Airport. Members of the Hawaii National Guard and HDoT employees have been trained statewide to operate and monitor the equipment. Phase two will have the temperature scanners installed at the remaining gates by 20-Aug-2020 and phase three expects to have the facial imaging equipment installed by 31-Dec-2020. [more - original PR]
