Hellenic Seaplanes SA hoping to commence operations in summer 2019

Hellenic Seaplanes SA, via its official Facebook account, reposted (26-Jun-2018) a report confirming the Greek Government is considering a bill to enable seaplane operations (metaforespress.gr, 26-Jun-2018). Hellenic Seaplanes stated it is "ready" to invest EUR250 million to develop Greek seaplane operations, in cooperation with private Chinese investors. The company aims to commence operations in summer 2019. Hellenic Seaplanes chairman and CEO Nicolas Charalambous stated: "In the last discussion we had with the Transport and Shipping Ministers we received the assurance that the licensing process has now been significantly simplified and that the bill will soon be passed to the Parliament for voting".
