Hong Kong Polytechnic University: AI helping drive innovation

Hong Kong Polytechnic University Associate Professor and Assistant Dean Sebastian Filep, speaking at the CTC Hong Kong Corporate Travel Summit, stated (23-May-2023) "The rise of AI has been in the media a lot, we know there are dangers but its helping drive innovation particularly in the aviation industry". Dr Filep said: "We are also seeing fuel consumption monitoring becoming more sophisticated". He added companies are now extending emissions calculators to also allow corporate travellers to search for flights that use biofuels". He noted: "It's not just about offsetting it's about choosing aircraft types and fuels".
