Jordan to permit entry of passengers into Jordan from 22 'low risk' countries

27 July, 2020

Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission chief commissioner Haitham Misto stated travellers arriving into Jordan from 22 "low risk" countries will not be required to quarantine for 14 days but will need to undergo a COVID-19 test prior to arrival, effective 05-Aug-2020 (Jordan News Agency/Arabian Business/Saudi Gazette/Jordan Times, 26-Jul-2020). Jordan's Minister of Transport Khaled Saif noted passengers will also be required to prove they were in one of the low risk countries for two weeks prior to arrival in Jordan, or otherwise be fined JOD10,000 (USD14,104). The list of low risk countries includes China, Germany and Thailand, and will be updated every two weeks.
