PNG lessens visa restrictions for some Chinese visitors

Papua New Guinea lessened restrictions on visa requirements for Chinese government officials and organised tourist groups approved by the Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA) (Xinhua, 13-Sep-2018). TPA CEO Jerry Argus said new regulations will enable PNG to tap into China's increasing outbound tourism market. As previously reported by CAPA, Air Niugini acting CEO Tahawar Durrani said the carrier plans to launch nonstop Port Moresby-Shanghai service on 23-Oct-2018.
