11 September, 2020

Riga International Airport chair Laila Odina said the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed the airport to "prepare for new challenges" such as investment in modern infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce costs (Airport-Business, 10-Sep-2020). She said that long term this will enable the airport to boost competitiveness both in terms of costs and environmental sustainability as well as improve capacity both to cater for future growth and the need for additional space to meet new epidemiological safety requirements.
