Russian carriers amend cabin allowance rules on Turkey services: report

Russia's carriers reportedly introduced new cabin allowance rules on Turkey services to ensure social distancing onboard aircraft, in accordance with requirements by Turkey's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (Interfax/TASS/Rambler News Service/gazeta.ru, 11-Aug-2020). The rules restrict items permitted onboard to handbags, briefcases, children's bags, laptops, items purchased at the airport and items including musical instruments and cameras. Other previously permitted items must be checked in. The new baggage rules were introduced by carriers including Azur Air, Nordwind Airlines, Pegas Fly, Rossiya - Russian Airlines, Royal Flight, S7 Airlines and Ural Airlines. The measures are introduced temporarily to ensure social distancing onboard aircraft.
