Southwest Airlines to resume growth to Hawaii in Aug-2019, increase service to Mexico in 2020

Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly stated (25-Jul-2019) the carrier is "very pleased" with results from its operations to Hawaii. He noted demand is "robust" and the carrier is "excited" to resume growth plans in Aug-2019, which include offering services from Sacramento and San Diego and bringing services to Lihue and Hilo. Mr Kelly stated the carrier also plans to "offer more service to Mexico" via Cozumel Airport from 1Q2020, subject to government approvals. [more - original PR]
