SpiceJet launches 'hybrid model' business class product

SpiceJet, via its official Twitter account, announced (07/08-May-2019) the launch of SpiceBiz, a business class product "With a dedicated 2X2 cabin, gourmet meals & beverages, lounge access and priority services", commencing 11-May-2019 (TNN/Financial Express/CNBC-TV18, 08/09-May-2019). SpiceJet chairman and MD Ajay Singh reported the LCC is utilising a "hybrid model" for SpiceBiz, which will be offered on recently inducted Boeing 737 aircraft previously operated by Jet Airways. Mr Singh added: "While the priority is to fill the gap on domestic front as soon as possible and bring down fares from current levels, the business class planes will be increasingly used on international flights as we are gong to start several more of them".
