SWISS CEO Thomas Klühr said the impact of delays over summer 2018 on earnings is expected to reach a "double digit million EUR amount" (tagblatt.ch, 05-Nov-2018). Mr Klühr said delays were more frequent in Germany and France due to lack of air traffic controllers and ATC strikes. Mr Klühr concluded SWISS does not expect any "significant improvement" in 2019 and is not likely to achieve an 80% on time performance rate as conditions "remain difficult" for the carrier, however its goal is to reach 80% for services to/from Zurich.
