Norse Atlantic selects Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport as US base

25 October, 2021

Norse Atlantic Airways CEO Bjørn Tore Larsen confirmed plans to establish the carrier's US base at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, with "several hundred" new employees including crew expected to serve the hub (South Florida Sun Sentinel/South Florida Business Journal, 21-Oct-2021). Mr Larsen said the airport was selected due to its central location and "smart approach to attracting new businesses", adding it is a destination of high demand and is underserved from Europe. As previously reported by CAPA the carrier plans to launch US services in summer 2022, serving New York Stewart and Los Angeles in addition to Fort Lauderdale with Boeing 787 aircraft.
