PLAY to receive first A321neos from May-2021 ahead of Jun-2021 launch

PLAY CEO Birgir Jónsson confirmed the start-up's first three A321neo aircraft are due to enter operation in Jul-2021, with the first aircraft due for delivery in late May-2021 (MBL.is, 05-May-2021). The LCC is scheduled to launch operations in late Jun-2021 with pilot training currently underway in the UK. As previously reported by CAPA, PLAY reportedly acquired slots to operate services from Reykjavik to Dublin, London Stansted and London Gatwick.
