Qantas Airways announces inflight entertainment on every QantasLink jet

    Qantas Airways stated (02-Sep-2021) QantasLink‘s jet aircraft are to receive an upgrade with the progressive roll out of inflight entertainment streamed to customers’ own devices beginning from the end of Sep-2021. QantasLink selected Bluebox Aviation Systems to deploy its Bluebox Wow W-IFE system on its fleet. Passengers on more than 50 Boeing 717, Fokker 100, A320 and Alliance Airline‘s Embraer E190 aircraft will soon be able to stream more than 2500 hours of premiere movies, TV series and audiobooks via the Qantas Entertainment app to their own personal device. Customers will also have access to more content through streaming partner Stan, including exclusive TV shows and Stan Original films. The entertainment upgrade begins on one of QantasLink’s A320 aircraft this week, with the streaming technology to be progressively installed across all QantasLink jet aircraft by the 1H2022. Inflight entertainment via the Qantas Entertainment App is currently offered on QantasLink’s two class 717 aircraft, and Qantas 737 and A330 fleets that fly domestically.
