Qantas Airways brings international services forward from Melbourne

Qantas Group announced (22-Oct-2021) plans to bring forward international flights from Melbourne following the Victorian Government's decision to remove quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travellers returning from overseas from Nov-2021. The updated international schedule out of Melbourne published today includes:

  • Melbourne-London: Qantas service will be brought forward to 06-Nov-2021, six weeks earlier than scheduled, operating twice weekly with Boeing 787 equipment, increasing up to daily from 18-Dec-2021;
  • Melbourne-Singapore: Qantas service will be brought forward to 22-Nov-2021, three weeks ahead of scheduled, operating three times weekly with A330 equipment and ramping up to daily from 18-Dec-2021. Jetstar will also resume service four times weekly between Melbourne and Singapore using Boeing 787 equipment. Jetstar has not operated the route since 2019.

Qantas will offer the first three return services on both routes as Points Planes. Seats on the services will also be available as regular flight bookings. Victorian customers can also book services via Sydney to other international destinations including Los Angeles (01-Nov-2021), Fiji (07-Dec-2021), Johannesburg (05-Jan-2022) and Bangkok (14-Jan-2022).
