Qantas announced (26-Nov-2018) plans to increase Sydney-Hobart frequency from 14 to 17 times weekly, commencing 01-Apr-2019. The carrier will operate 110 seat Boeing 717 aircraft on the route. The new frequencies have been scheduled to reduce waiting times for travellers from Asia and the US connecting from international services into Sydney.
