Qantas to stand down 'majority' of employees, senior management and board cut all pay

Qantas Group reported (19-Mar-2020) Qantas and Jetstar plan to "stand down the majority of their 30,000 employees until at least the end of May 2020". Employees will be able to use annual and long service leave, with additional support mechanisms to be introduced, including leave at half pay and early access to long service leave. Employees with minimal leave may access up to four weeks leave in advance of earning it.
