Queenstown Airport revenue declines 53% in six months to 31-Dec-2020

Queenstown Airport stated (17-Feb-2021) its revenue declined 53% year-on-year within its interim results for the six months to 31-Dec-2020, reflecting the impact of coronavirus on business and the region. There was a sharp decline in passenger movements at the airport, which led to the company's aeronautical and commercial revenue decreasing by 56% and 58% respectively. Reported net profit after tax was down 80% to NZD2.2 million (USD1.6 million), compared to NZD10.8 million (USD7.8 million) in the same period last year.
